Collapsible Box

Jasmine put five collapsible box in the centre of her work. The experiment is supposed to underline the relation between the object itself, space and the target person. In order to answer the question whether a portrait, which is constructed around viewer’s face, would work as well. Jasmine Shah accomplished a staged experiment with her work named „collapsible box“. Under these circumstances the target persons can fully flower out in a neutral room. Each of the target persons got five identical boxes. Also they all got the same task from the photographer which intended them to construct an object which could be placed in a phantasy room. The candidates had one hour to accomplish their construct.

The intention of this experiment is to find out deeper information about their personalities. The finished objects tell us – the viewer – more about the candidates characteristics. Pictures of the finished objects were taken afterwards under the same light and camera conditions.
